Repair and Cleaning
The positive reviews are right on. I called them after a water leak soaked an area of carpet in one of my rental properties. Jason and (Patrick?) came out to assess the damage, pulled up the carpet, cut out the padding, and advised me on how to thoroughly dry the concrete slab. Jason came back out the next day and replaced the padding, cleaned the carpet, and tacked/tucked it back into place. He even cleaned the carpet everywhere he had walked throughout the house! My tenants are still raving about what a nice job they did and how professional they were.

Negative Interactions
I have to agree that Dr. Read is condescending and somewhat pompous. He was my doctor for a couple of years and things went from marginal to bad. The last straw was when he refused to refer me for a colonoscopy even though one of my parents died from colon cancer. When I saw a different primary care physician, that doctor immediately sent me for the test.

Great Service
Stacey came out to replace both incoming water lines (from the street) for my duplex. He was professional and personable. He and Jason didn't get started until around 6 pm because it rained hard all day. They didn't leave until the water was back on, working until after 9 pm with flashlights and covered in mud. Stacey came back early the next morning to clean up my yard, replace my shrubs, etc. The cost was exactly what he quoted me and was the least of three estimates. I'll definitely call them the next time I need a plumber.

Total Wellness
I've been going to Dr. Hans Wakeman for about 8 years now and he is truly a master at total wellness. Not only is he fantastic at diagnosing problems and making chiropractic adjustments, but he also uses muscle testing and herbal/nutritional therapy to treat general health problems. Since I've been seeing him I've gone from 5 or 6 medical doctor visits per year to less than 1 per year. He and his staff are wonderful, caring people.

Believe It
I thought all these reviews on Metro Heating & Air were too good to be true...so I decided to call them out to fix a problem. Another company had made several trips to repair the unit, but could not. They just tried to sell me new parts (at hundreds of dollars). Steve walked into my house, played with my dog for a minute, walked over and opened the thermostat and within 5 minutes, diagnosed the problem. It took him about 10 more minutes to fix the problem. Don't even bother calling anyone else to fix your air conditioning. I never will.

Abominable Service
While the quality of the windows and window installation was excellent, the quality and service on siding was very poor. The crews they sent out to work on my house did not speak any English and the bilingual supervisor was tough to communicate with. The crews would come out and work for a couple of days and then would disappear for a week. The workers used profanity in Portuguese (which my neighbor heard and understood). My calls and e-mails to the office were not returned and the only way I could get them to complete the job was to hold back part of the payment. Over a year after they started the project, the office called to ask about the last payment. That was how I got them to come out and finish the job.
