CHANGES ARE GREAT
I was skeptical at first going to this place. For one I am African American and have natural hair. My best friend referred me to see Diana. Two weeks before my appointment I went by the salon and looked through the window to see if any black people were there. I saw Diana with with what looked like a Middle Eastern girl in her chair and a Caucasian girl waiting for her. This added more to my anxiety. I struggled with still going to my hair appointment for my relaxer. I consulted my friend that referred me and she reassured me that everything would be just fine. (She goes every week and has her natural hair blown dry). Finally, the day of my appointment I expressed to Diana I was really nervous about her doing my hair. In the end everything turned out great. Her technique is definitely different from a black salon. (Diana is Puerto Rican). On a positive note changes are good I feel she did quality work more so than my previous stylist. Everyone in the salon made me feel comfortable by offering me drinks. I enjoyed her diversity. I came to the realization I will not be going back to a black salon again. P.s. Diana got me in and out in an hour and forty five minuets, usually in black salons for my relaxer it takes about five hours. Love her!!!
