Do your homework: don't go here
we had decided to buy a 2010 Prius and initially called several dealers in town. We were impressed with Joshua who sounded friendly and knowledgeable. He was very late for our appointment and we had to wait for a long time; he gave a decent overview of the cars and took us for a drive. After negotiating the deal (we were ready to pay cash), the next day we finalized the details by phone. He led us to believe the car was ready to be purchased, said the paperwork was being prepared and to come get our new car. When we arrived we realized it was a bait and switch. The car suddenly disappeared, and he tried to persuade us to buy two other cars that were 2K more. He said it was our fault for not paying a deposit, but he never asked us to. He indicated it was ours. This in and of itself is, sadly, probably not that unusual. What was so shocking was his aggression towards us, the customers. When we expressed our disappointment he became very nasty with us, in front of his colleagues, standing up and bullying us. I've never been treated so badly by any salesperson. We were shocked. we drove right over to World Toyota and within 30 minutes had the car we wanted AND the price that we could deal with. The service there was kind. I expect car dealers to have their tactics but the abuse of customers is unacceptable. No one, especially a paying customer, should be treated like that!! This is the south after all!
