Not like the other reviews.....

I got a new roof. The 4 Stars are generous. That is only because of Matt's "5 Star" efforts and performance. They DO hand nail. They DO give a 10 year leak warrantee. They DO feature Owens-Corning, which I wanted (Oakridge.) They DO use a fiberglass underlayment by GAF which is stronger and more water resistant and lays flatter than paper. Matt did work with me on the price. They did totally re-work my Chimney flashing. But.... Matt told me it would take "ONE long day". The job took TWO long days. The materials arrived a day early. The Dumpster arrived a day late. The crew arrived 3 hours early. None of them spoke conversational English. Both days there was a continuous threat of rain. In the afternoon of day one, another crew had arrived to help. There were 10 people on my roof at one time. No-one was in charge. No one was "senior". I had to supervise them to tarp-cover the full unprotected half. They were about to leave the entire middle of the house covered by the new paper only. I forced them to tarp it. The crew left at 8PM. The rain POURED down at 9PM. I was overcharged on my invoice. It took 3 weeks to get a corrected invoice !

Professional and Personal Performance

Service performed 6/08. I had a number of overgrown trees in my back yard that needed a LOT of pruning. Two large Oaks and three Crepe Myrtles. They pruned the trees and did a full clean-up. Member Comments: Rory was very professional and knew his business. He gave me a very fair quote. I chose them to do the work. The crew arrived late because they squeezed another job in before mine. The crew worked hard and did a great job. The main tree climbing pruner was obviously very experienced and skilled.

Saturday Success

They replaced the Grey PB water pipe from my Water Meter to the House. Member Comments: Saturday morning I woke up to water gushing out of the ground by my Water Meter. After I shut off the water flow I immediately went to the Web to search Angie and Kudzu and the BBB. Ridgeway was one of the three I chose to call. Only Ridgeway answered on a Saturday. Luckily, they had a Truck and crewperson working this Saturday in the area and could be at my house in three hours. The Truck arrived as promised. It had everything needed on the Truck to complete the job in the one visit. After four hours, the job was done and I had water again. The price may have been "fair" and "competitive", but it still hurt to pay $825. for one man and one truck and 40 feet of Black Poly pipe for four hours work. Overall I am very satisfied.
