The only ones I call for HVAC
They won't try to sell you what you don't need. Almost hate to recommend them because I don't want them "discovered". The technicians I have met, Ken, and more recently, Scott, have been excellent. For 10 or 12 years, I have used them exclusively for my HVAC systems and occasionally for an appliance (as I recall, they do not service stacking W/D??). The friends I have recommended them to have called me to thank me. Good work!

Excellent, personal service
You get far better than average service with Patrick. I've used McCauley Electric for about 7 years now and have been very pleased with his work. He keeps my budget in mind; he knows and loves an old house; he is very professional and friendly. After a few scheduling snafoos, now I call him to confirm the day before our appt, just in case. I don't hesitate to recommend him.

Eddie, Sr. rocks!
He knows everything about plumbing. He tends to work in an old-fashioned way with a verbal agreement. In contrast, his son will write up a proposal. Unfortunately, I don't think Jr's skill or business sense is nearly as good as his dad's. I hope Eddie, Sr doesn't retire! Also, they are a bit expensive, especially considering they don't take credit cards.

Friendly, knowledgeable, sales & service
I ordered a trimmer from them and when I picked it up, they gave me a lesson on how to use it, rewind it, etc. They even registered it for me for the mnfr warranty. It was good to know they do small equipment repairs there, too.

Requested arborist consult
Their complimentary arborist consultation was first-rate! (Far, far superior to one I paid $80 for.) The arborist showed up on-time, answered all my questions, and I never felt rushed. He provided estimates for some of their professional services but there was never a high-pressure sales pitch. He also gave me some DIY tips for treating fungus on my dogwood. Super.

Expensive, sloppy, and rude, too
This is our 1 experience: In the end, they discounted our $4000+ job, so even they must've thought things went poorly for us. They left us with code/safety violations that WE found (ex: insulation in attic packed around can lights, flying splice), ruined our HW floor trying to freelance a circular cut for a floor outlet (we emphasized the need for a special $50 saw BEFORE we hired them; they reimbursed us for the repair), left us mid-project to work on someone else's "more important" job (their words), failed to protect our property as promised (said they would cover our floors, but didn't and they were scratched) - overall sloppy and hurried work at premium pricing. Plus, the management was unresponsive in addressing our complaints until we ranted and insisted the Big Guys come look at our nightmare for themselves. They said ours was their first job with a newly-hired project manager. I tried to get them to quote other work since this job, but in our situation, they were not agreeable to small modifications without substantial upgrades (even though the city building inspector didn't have a problem with our modification). They still could improve on their phone manners -- I find them abrupt and rude.

Avoid! Bad Customer Service
The management and staff have become more rude and lazy over the years at this location. (In fact, it is so bad, I have filed a complaint with corporate office.) When they over-charge the customer, they are never courteous or apologetic. They mumble directives to go stand at the customer service desk to try to get a refund. Surly comments fly, like: "Can't you see my light is out? I'm closed!" Prices are not marked for many of the items - especially produce. But don't bother asking for verification for a price, because the employees will tell you wrong. They do not care about your business, your time, or money. Customers clearly have no value at this store, an attitude that must be perpetuated by management. If you must shop here, go through the self-checkout with only a few meager items and be ready to walk away if anything goes wrong. Oh - and watch your purse/wallets -- a customer was once robbed right outside the door and management didn't care.

Highly recommended!
After reading reviews at Kudzu, we had 8 chairs re-glued and repaired. The work was first-rate and competitively priced. Morgan provided service and quality beyond what we expected -- even a complimentary pick-up and delivery. He really listened to our concerns about these chairs and was able to help match our needs and wants with a solution we could afford. We won't use any one else after this experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

"What do you want?"
That's what Dr Gillian asked me in my professional contact lens fitting. That part of the appointment cost $55. Eye Exam was $178. PRO: easy to make appt; they didn't make me wait too long; everyone nice & friendly; they take insurance. CON: question thoroughness and quality of care; they take insurance; I still can't see.

Perfect for us
Uncle Ron is the best: dependable, responsive, reasonable, professional, and flexible. We have dogs that may intimidate some, and a cat with special needs, but this all seems routine to Ron. Not only is he caring with our pets, but he is also respectful of our home. We couldn't ask for a better fit for us.
